VANESSA FROM
A FANCIFUL TWIST!

Well, I thought that for this event
I would do a few illustrations to re- tell the wonderful story!
Now, Please remember I love to draw and paint but I do not claim in any way to be a writer...
So
Please bear with me.
Oh..Please do feel free to leave me a comment!!
As I will also be picking one lucky reader to
win a giclee of my version of
"The Mad Hatter"
WELCOME TO THE ILLUSTRATIONS OF M. ESTES ZYWAR
AND..
WELCOME TO THE FUN
OF
MAD HATTERS TEA PARTY!
IT IS A LOVELY WARM SATURDAY AFTERNOON.
ALICE WAS VERY TIRED OF SITTING BY HER SISTER
AND HAVING NOTHING TO DO...
"WHAT IS THE USE OF A BOOK WITHOUT
PICTURES OR CONVERSATIONS" ALICE SIGHED
"SUDDENLY A WHITE RABBIT RAN CLOSE BY HER!"
"OH DEAR, OH DEAR I SHALL BE LATE"
THEN HE TOOK A WATCH OUT OF ITS WAISTCOAT
POCKET AND HURRIED ON...
POPPING OUT OF SIGHT DOWN A RABBIT HOLE
ALICE FOLLOWED IN A FLASH
"NEVER ONCE CONSIDERING HOW IN THE WORLD SHE WAS
TO GET OUT AGAIN!"
"
Alice, Alice Echoes are calling Echoes are calling you!
In what kind of wonderland will you be
down the rabbit hole soon you'll see!"
Alice did finally land safe at the bottom of the rabbit hole.
She wondered around quite a bit having one strange
encounter after another.
All the while trying to keep her eye on the
White Rabbit
EVENTUALLY ALICE CAME TO A SMALL HOUSE.
SHE ENTERED THROUGH AN ARCHED DOORWAY.
SHE FOUND HERSELF IN A LARGE KITCHEN FILLED WITH SMOKE!
A DUCHESS WAS SITTING ON A STOOL WITH A BABY WHILE THE COOK
LEANED OVER A FIRE STIRING A LARGE POT OF SOUP.
"THERES TOO MUCH PEPPER IN THE SOUP ALICE TOLD THE LITTLE GROUP
THE COOK SHOUTS OUT I DISAGREE THERES NO
WHERE NEAR ENOUGH FOR ME ME ME!"
SUDDENLY THE DUTCHESS HANDED THE BABY TO ALICE AND SAID-HERE
I MUST GO GET READY FOR MY CROQUET GAME WITH THE QUEEN!
ALICE STROLLED BACK OUT OF DOORS WHERE MUCH TO HER SURPRISE THE BABY IN THE BUNDLE OF BLANKETS TURNED INTO A PIG!!
ALICE SET THE LITTLE ONE DOWN AND WATCHED AS IT TROTTED OFF INTO THE WOODS.
ALICE WANDERED ON AND ON UNTIL SHE CAME TO AN AREA IN THE WOODS WHERE SHE SAW THE MARCH HARE HAVING TEA WITH A HATTER AND A DORMOUSE.
THEY EXCITEDLY INVITED ALICE TOJOIN THEM.
" COME HAVE SOME WINE"
THE HATTER OFFERED. ALICE DIDNT SEE ANY WINE AND WHEN SHE ASKED THEY REPLIED"THERE ISNT ANY!"
THE CONVERSATION CONTINUED ONLY TO GET MORE AND MORE ABSURD.
FINALLY IN DISGUST ALICE GOT UP AND BEGAN TO
WALK FURTHER INTO THE WOODS.
SHE WALKED A SHORT WAY BEFORE STOPPING SUDDENLY !
ALICE SAW BEFORE HER A LOVELY ROSE GARDEN.
THE SHRUBBERY WAS PERFECTLY TRIMMED BUT, THE ROSES WERE BEING PAINTED BY WHAT LOOKED LIKE GUARDS MADE FROM CARDS!
ALICE JUMPED IN FRIGHT WHEN SHE HEARD THE WORDS
"OFF WITH HIS HEAD!"
JUST BEYOND THE ROSE GARDEN WAS A DARK GREEN CARPET OF GRASS.
IN THE MIDDLE OF IT THOUGH WAS THE STRANGEST CROQUET
COURT ALICE HAD EVER SEEN!
THE LAWN ROLLED UP AND DOWN AND
THE QUEEN WAS USING A FLAMINGO AS HER MALLOT AND A
FRIGHTENED LITTLE HEDGEHOG WAS THE BALL!
AGAIN THE QUEEN SHOUTED OUT "OFF WITH HIS HEAD!"
IT SEEMED SHE WAS A VERY MAD QUEEN AND EVERYONE AROUND HER MADE HER ANGRIER!
POOR ALICE WAS JUST ABOUT TO TURN AND RUN WHEN SHE HEARD
THE QUEEN CALL HER NAME!
ALICE TRIED HER BEST TO BE POLITE TO THE UGLY QUEEN BUT TO NO AVAIL!
THE QUEEN QUICKLY BEGAME IRRITATED WITH ALICE AND
SOON SHOUTED "OFF WITH HER HEAD!!
THE GUARDS TRIED TO STOP HER BUT BY NOW
ALICE WAS QUITE FED UP WITH THE WHOLE GROUP SO SHE STAMPED HER FOOT AND CRIED OUT
IM NOT AFRAID OF YOU!
WHY YOU ARE ALL NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF SILLY CARDS!!
AT THAT THE WHOLE PACK RISE UP INTO THE AIR, AND
CAME FLYING DOWN UPON HER; SHE GAVE
A LITTLE SCREAM AND TRIED TO BEAT THEM OFF!
SUDDENLY ALICE FOUND HERSELF SITTING BY THE BANK WITH HER SISTER
GENTLY SHAKING HER AND SYING "WAKE UP. ALICE DEAR!"
WHAT A LONG SLEEP YOU'VE HAD!"
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR STOPPING BY TODAY!
I HOPE THAT YOU ARE ENJOYING THE
MAD TEA PARTY
AS MUCH AS I AM!
COME BACK AGAIN SOON!
HUGS,
MARY
