Im back!

Hello dear friends!
Yes I am back and on the mend from my hip replacement surgery.
I am doing quite well and really working hard on all of my PT excersizes!
Hard to believe it will be 2 years this September that I first
 injured myself at the gym!! Yeah.....good ol Bootcamp took its toll on me.

While on the mend I have been skyping with my grandson who just turned 4.
we are making up stories and im illustrating them.  He is VERY into Dinosaurs at the moment.

Hopefully, if all continues to go well I will be able to hobble on over to the studio next week. I am so anxious to do some more serious painting and such.

So bear with me an I hope to post some photos of my latest artwork very soon!!

Schools Out For Summer!!

Like Alice Cooper's song goes...

No more pencils
No more books
No more teacher's "beautiful" looks!



Tee hee!!! yah  I changed that line a bit!
I never give dirty looks!!!  Not to my students at least!!
So today the last final exam was given and the last box of supplies 
were carefully locked away unti _September!


I will be away from my computer for several days.
 No.... not a trip to the Rockies or
The Carribean Sea... Nothing as lovely and relaxing as that.


 I have surgery coming up next week.  I have high hopes that I will be back
 better than ever really soon!

Whimsy Pocket Swap!

 Hello again my sweet friends!
A couple of weeks ago I signed up over at

I never have made a whimsy pocket before so I was really
intrigued.  It was so much fun to make and decorate and

The School Year Is Winding Down!

Hi there my sweet friends!
Okay so how many of you are finding this month
 flying by so fast it literally takes your breath away!!

Senior exams are done and there are only
 2 more days of classes left for grades 9-11!!!!
 WOW !!

Sunday is graduation... And then all that is left is a week of finals for
the underclassmen!
 Get my grades in and.....Here comes


SUMMER VACATION!
(Surgery too but its still SUMMER TIME BABY!!)

Funny thing is the weather has been very cold and raw.
 I cannot say I really mind because so often the last days of school are hot, humid and
the classroom feels like a steambath.

At school I am also busy for hours at a time
cleaning the art room and packing up supplies
that will be put away for the summer.

A welcomed break in the evenings is what I call Blog surfing.
I have so many blogs I love to read. Some are pure artist blogs,
some devote the time to cooking or home organization.

I also love decorating blogs!









One in particular is having a great give away!

Missed my own Birthday??

Hi there my sweet friends!!
No I didn't miss my own Birthday BUT...
It was one week ago today and I never blogged about it!!!
Seems my Birthday and Mothers Day usually get a bit blended together!
At any rate last Sunday was a lovely day!  Spent the wonderful weekend with my daughter's
family and my sister!  :O)

Friday the 13th

Hi my dear friends!!

Ok ...so I did manage to stay clear from all black cats, mirrors and ladders today!
Actually I was so busy I never gave today's  date much thought.

Last night was the opening of the Spring Student Art Show at my school.
The weather was perfect and my students were so cute all dressed up and happily showing
the guests their art that was on display.

Then today was Arts Day at school. The day was free of classes and we were all entertained by the concerts and art display and Freshmen show in the gym

Now all the artwork has been taken down, the gallery cleaned up and I am one pooped lady!

This week the Brimfield Antiques Fair opened.

 I want so badly to go but...
With all that went on this week I can barely walk so I guess I will have to miss out this year.
Yes...Im still walking with a cane but my surgery date is coming up soon.
I pray all will go well and I will soon be up dancing once again!

Gee, I am sorry I haven't any photos to show in this post. I am having a bit of
 trouble with Blogger today and cannot seem to up load them?

I do hope you have had a great week and now will enjoy a relaxing weekend!

Tuesday May 10th

Hello there!

Seems that I was getting a bit frustrated with being

 so busy lately that I haven't had a chance to paint or "create" in 

the past several days. 

So... I began to play with some of my spring photos and text.

I am in no way sad so I hope the black color does not imply that this is "dark"

 Actually... I like the way this turned out 

and since my early college days I have adored the Desiderata.
